Tyler (17), Logan (15) & Connor (8 Mos.), Whew! I know, right?! Well on top of having a very active family life we also have a large equestrian facility, small rodeo cattle & beef cattle operation plus a few goats, a few llamas and when we are lucky a litter of Olde English Bulldogges, an occasional Chihuahua litter & Australian Shepherds! As you can tell we like to stay busy, but we are extremely happy! :)
Leah Metz Hylton
Here I am again...Oh well, here it goes.. About Me!
I was born, raised and grew up on the land that I currently operate as Pinecrest Stables & Pinecrest Farms. I am the youngest of 6 children, 3 boys & 3 girls, and no I am not spoilt...a lot! But anyways, I have always had a love of or should I say a passion for horses...I was in my first horse show at 18 months old and was riding long before that. I have gone on to show in most every discipline from grand prix jumping, to ASB 5 Gaited, to roping & team penning. I became a ceritified riding instructor in 2005 for both the CHA & ARIA organizations, although I have taught people how to ride since I was 13. I have also been fortunate enough to train and travel all over the country learning more about our beautiful equines and new ways to care for them. I am also a certified Veterinary technician with experience in large and small animals as well as emergency and trauma. Needless to say my love of animals also expands outwards from horses to dogs, cats, reptiles and honestly anything that breathes and eats! I have shown most every breed and have been fortunate to train with some amazing trainers and practitioners in my time. I also have a philosophy that you never know it all and anyone can teach you something at anytime, so pay attention! As you get to know me you will also realize I have a penchant for talking and if you know my family, I get it honest! We would love to have you down and show you around, We dont have the most modern facility, but it is a fun and safe learning atmosphere for both you, your family and your horse!

Ben Hylton
This is Ben Hylton, also known around these parts as "Benji", for some of you...This is my wonderful husband of almost two years!! Anyways, Ben is an avid outdoorsman with a love of animals that matches my own and a weakness for his wife's wanting's...lol, nah, but he is my more logical side. He owns and operates Lazy H Farms Bucking Bulls in Woolwine, Va on his parents farm. He has a string of ex rodeo cattle and sons and daughters of some of the hottest bulls on the PBR right now. We currently are only a breeding operation but some of our calves have gone on to buck in some of the lower to mid level rodeos and we have hauled some to the Finals in Vegas..It is a tough business, but he loves it! We also have beef cattle and there is a custom processing facility located on our farm, Pinecrest Meats. There we do Beef, Pork, Deer & anything else you can think of! But Ben is also an ex carpenter and a wonderful father, so he is awesome to have around for every occasion! Plus I kinda love him! :)
Tyler & Logan Hylton
Here are our two eldest sons, Tyler, 17, and Logan, 15. This is a dated picture but I love it! In this pic are also our two female aussies, Delilah & Shelby. The boys have changed and grown a lot since this pic was taken but they are still both very handsome and such great sons!! Tyler is my smart one, he loves his football and JROTC, plus he cant be beaten on Madden for PS3 and Logan is my outdoorsman! He loves to help me ride and take care of all the animals. He is debuting this year in the show ring as well! Both enjoy sports and as there all time quarterback they help keep us all in shape! They are both very different but both do there part around the farm!
Connor Mosby Hylton
Connor is the youngest of our brood, at 8 months old, he keeps us all hopping as he tries to walk and he crawls and gets in to everything! Our older boys are a huge help with him tho and we are very blessed to have 3 handsome, loving sons!!
Obviously this isnt a current pic of him, but I love it!!!
Here is a current pic of him at the GW Boutique with mommy....:)

SOME UPDATES:
4/28/2021 - Soooooo, this page hasn't been updated in quite a while! Connor is now 10 and I am a Lolly to two beautiful grand children. Weston & Lainey, Both Logan and Chelsea's...yep, you got it! Both my boys are happily married to lovely ladies and working on families of their own... this page was such a blast from the past for me! One thing is for sure though..we all still love the farm and our horses. Come visit us and the critters to see what's changed in the last 6 years!'
4/16/2024 - Whew - I am remiss to change anything about this page simply bc these are memories i cherish quite deeply. For those that do not know, I am now a widower. Ben passed away from Covid October 21, 2021. He was such an amazing man and a great father and husband that tbh I have just recenty felt enough like myself to pursue the barn and lessons again. I tried some in the past few years and my heart wasnt in it. Everyone processes and travels through their grief on their own path, and yes, sometimes it takes a long time. However, I am still the proud mother of 3 boys whom i love dearly, mother in law to 2 amaizng women who chose my boys and going through my last teenage years for awhile with my youngest... prayers appreciated! lol I am still the most blessed Lolly to 2 amazing grand children and i daresay i hope to see a few more 2 legged additions to the family in the upcoming years. I am wonderfully and truly blessed with an amazing set of friends, the best family, supportive and hard working parents, great kids and I could not have gotten to this point without their support and encouragement. My journey is only beginning again after hitting some major bumps on the road. I truly appreciate my loyal customers and look forward to a brand new season of excellence, for myself and everyone.
Thank you.... simply. Much Love, till next time - L
